Day 1: Arrival from airport
Upon your arrival in Cali, proceed to your chosen hotel and check in with the receptionist at the lobby of the Hotel. Settle into your room and get some rest in preparation for your 8-hour tour the following day.
Day 2: Hiking to Cerro De Las Tres Cruces (Hill of Three Crosses)
You will start your adventure in Cali hiking up to Cerro De Las Tres Cruces. This is one of a must go places for tourists. It is an overlooked view. This hike is a bit of a challenge, but it’s worth it because the views are incredible from the top.
So first, have your breakfast in your hotel, and then our driver will take you to your designated location. It is approximately one hour walking uphill, so do not forget to bring plenty of water, sunscreen and of course your camera. When you get to the top, you can now enjoy the view of Cali.
Day 3: Tertulia Museum, Bulevar del Rio and La Ermita Church
Take in a lungful of the fresh air while enjoying your complimentary breakfast. Prepare for another fun Cali tour, beginning with a trip to Tertulia Museum, its where you can visit art galleries or simply take pictures from the outside since it is very photogenic. There is also a cinema inside that shows very independent films.
Going north you get to the River’s Boulevard (known as El Boulevard del Rio). You can take a breezy, leafy boardwalk along an urban riverbank, with play areas, street art & outdoor BBQ cafes. Enjoy your walk until you reach our last destination for today’s tour, which is the La Ermita Church known for its beautiful architure. It is also a Neo-Gothic Roman Catholic church with a revered 18th-century painting & Italian marble altar. Do not forget to capture this magnificent creation.
Day 4: The Big Cat (El Gato del Rio) to Barrio San Antonio
You still have so much to explore in the City of Cali. Do not forget to eat your breakfast, for you still have a lot of walking to do. Your guide-driver will take you to your next destination which is the El Gato del Rio or the Cat of the Park. It is a donation by the well-known Colombian artist, Hernando Tejada. And besides the main cat, there’s a whole cat park here, with different sculptures and they are all painted by several famous Colombian artists. For sure cat lovers will love this place.
A perfect afternoon plan would be to go to San Antonio and walk around, street arts, drink, eat, and take some photos of the panoramic view of Cali. San Antonio is one of the most traditional residential neighborhoods in Cali, distinguishable for its colonial architecture. It was in the early 90’s that San Antonio became a more trendy place to be.
After having some coffee, eating local food, and maybe a delicious ice cream, head over to the Church which is located on top of a hill to watch the sunset. From here you’ll enjoy a beautiful view of the city and experience the refreshing breeze.
Day 5: Experience nightlife in Cali
They said that you have to save the best for last. So as for your last day in Cali, you will learn how to do the Salsa dance and get to experience nightlife in Cali.
You will have the whole day to yourself. After that, our driver will pick you up as soon as night comes and head to La Topa Tolondra, a free salsa dancing class. There, you will know how to do Salsa and will get to experience what Cali is known for.
