Santiago de Cali Tour 3

Day 1: Arrival to Cali, Columbia

Arrival from your international flight at the airport. The closest airport to Cali is Alfonso B. Aragon Airport (CLO), which is 30 minutes away from the city center. Customs formalities, then meet our staff. Drive around the city for about 30 minutes and then to your hotel. Accommodation in a local bed and breakfast.

Day 2: Visit at the famous Cristo Rey monument and Mariposario Andoke

Breakfast at your hotel. The driver will then pick you up and take you to the must-see Mariposario Andoke. It is a butterfly park, with more than 15 natives species of butterflies so don’t forget your cameras.

On the way, you take a quick stop at the famous Cristo Rey monument. Then back to the hotel.

Day 3: Sightseeing at Parque Artesanal Loma de La Cruz

After breakfast, the driver-guide will take you to Parque Artesanal Loma de la Cruz. This is the place to get a taste of the local Cali vibe, but you can also shop a little while you’re here. Within the park you can purchase handicrafts from artisans who might even be making stuff right in front of you – prices are reasonable. You’ll also find lots of cheap bars and restaurants all around where you can get something to eat or drink while you shop or walk around. You could see anything from salsa dancing to live music.

Then, just a quick 5-minute drive or walk, whichever you prefer, you reach Plazoleta Jairo Varela, a tiny square named for salsa musician Jairo Varela, with a related museum and a huge trumpet statue.

Day 4: Visit to the Zoológico de Cali

You are up to a treat! Our team will pick you up from your hotel and take you to the Cali Zoo, which is one of the most beautiful in South America, and almost everyone recommends a visit here. With healthy animals, organized exhibits, and clean pathways that make you feel like you’re in the middle of a jungle, it’s a great day out for the whole family. They have a large collection of animals that are native to Colombia, lots from all over South America, and even lions, tigers, and kangaroos.

The Cali River runs right through it, plus there are fish ponds, native flora, and freely roaming iguanas and peacocks all about. You’ll probably be here for a while, so they’ve also got places where you can grab a snack or a drink. Our team will take you back to the hotel at the end of the day.

Day 5: Nightlife in Cali and Learning Salsa Dance

They said that you have to save the best for last. So as for your last day in Cali, you will learn how to do the Salsa dance and get to experience nightlife in Cali. 

You will have the whole day to yourself. You can stroll the city if you want and buy souvenir before you leave the City. After that, our driver will pick you up as soon as night comes and head to La Topa Tolondra, a free salsa dancing class. There,  you will know how to do Salsa and will get to experience the beautiful City of Cali.

Day 6: Spa Treatment

Aside from enjoying and exploring the wonders of Cali. It is also important to rest and relax before you go home. So for your last self-treatment, your next destination will be the Corpo Bello Medical Spa. They’re known for their great service and of course a well mannered employees. For sure this Spa will give you the relaxation that you needed.
